Cairns, QLD<\/strong><\/a> : on average $154 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

From the reef to the rainforest, and with its cosmopolitan town centre, Cairns is Australia\u2019s ultimate tropical escape.<\/p>\n

Launceston, TAS <\/strong><\/a>: on average $135 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Launceston is not only a charming riverside town, it\u2019s also a gateway to the best of the island state. Think cool-climate wineries, fresh local produce, cute B&B\u2019s, and stunning nature hikes.<\/p>\n

Apollo Bay, VIC <\/strong><\/a>: on average $184 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Just under three hours\u2019 drive from Melbourne and midway along the Great Ocean Road, this seaside resort town is on the edge of the Otway Ranges and has activities galore. A must-do is a visit to Cape Otway Lighthouse, built in 1848.<\/p>\n

Coffs Harbour, NSW <\/strong><\/a>: on average $156 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Coffs Harbour, located on the NSW Mid North Coast, is a classic Aussie beach break destination. If you visit before November, you may even be lucky enough to spot a whale or two as they migrate south.<\/p>\n

Coolangatta, QLD <\/strong><\/a>: on average $184 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Coolangatta is an easy, affordable mini-break destination, with plenty of self-contained apartments to choose from. Located on the southern end of the Gold Coast, it\u2019s a family-favourite beach destination that offers easy access to the region\u2019s many theme and wildlife parks.<\/p>\n

Batemans Bay, NSW <\/strong><\/a>: on average $151 <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Laid-back Batemans Bay, located on the NSW South Coast, is a relaxed coastal seaside town perfect for long, lazy beach days. Hot tip: make sure you taste test a Clyde River oyster or two.<\/p>\n

Scarborough Beach, WA <\/strong><\/a>: on average $173 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Escape to one of Perth\u2019s most famous beachside towns. Scarborough is a favourite with kite-surfers and wind-surfers, especially as the weather warms up. As an added advantage, it\u2019s just a 20-minute drive from the CBD, in case you want to mix a beach break with some city action.<\/p>\n

Alice Springs, NT <\/strong><\/a>: on average $147 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mix it up by skipping the beach to spend a few days exploring Alice Spring\u2019s red desert plains. However, be warned: Central Australia gets hot at this time of year, so make sure you opt for a hotel with a pool to cool down in.<\/p>\n

Yamba, NSW <\/strong><\/a>: on average $159 a night <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Often referred to as the new Byron Bay, this North Coast spot is all about local seafood, organic produce, and its 16 sun-kissed beaches.<\/p>\n

Fleurieu Peninsula, SA <\/strong><\/a>:<\/a> on average $183<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Last but not least, combine wine time with coastline on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The Fleurieu boasts world-class wineries in McLaren Vale, which are only 20 minutes from its gorgeous beaches and the seaside village of Victor Harbour.<\/p>\n
