We sent the Ricketts family, Mum Jane, Dad Luke and brothers Jonathan and Josh on a family holiday to the Gold Coast. Here they share with us their favourite things about the trip.<\/em><\/p>\n

What are the best things to do on a sunny day on the Gold Coast?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane \u2013 Relax by the pool with a good book!<\/p>\n

Luke \u2013 Definitely surf.<\/p>\n

Jonathan \u2013 Swim in the pool and the spa doing bombs.<\/p>\n

Josh \u2013 Same and also go play in the sand at the beach.

What are the best things to do a rainy day on the Gold Coast?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane – Relax in the apartment with a good book! Do you sense a theme here? Or leave hubby and the kids at the apartment and hit the shops.<\/p>\n

Jonathan and Josh\u2013 Play with our toys or go to the movies.<\/p>\n

What did you like most about where you stayed, Peppers Broadbeach?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane – The apartment was amazing. It had everything we needed and I loved being able to use the kitchen and laundry facilities so we could have meals in the apartment and also not have to worry about taking dirty laundry home.<\/p>\n

Jonathan \u2013 The pool and spa<\/p>\n

Josh \u2013 The gym area.

\nWhere were your favourite places to eat?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane \u2013 I really enjoyed \u201cKoi\u201d restaurant where we had breakfast. Nice food, relaxed atmosphere and the staff were extremely helpful.<\/p>\n

Luke \u2013 The Bavarian Beer Caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Josh \u2013 I liked breakfast the best because I got to have pancakes with strawberries.<\/p>\n

Jono \u2013 I liked breakfast best too I had double bacon!<\/p>\n

What was the best part of the holiday?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane \u2013 Simply spending time with the family. And I enjoyed Seaworld.<\/p>\n

Luke \u2013 Spending time with the boys in the surf at the beach, and eating out.<\/p>\n

Jono \u2013 The best part was Seaworld. I really liked seeing the sea animals.<\/p>\n

Josh \u2013 I liked the beach and also the show at Seaworld with the jetskis.<\/p>\n

Why would you recommend this destination to other families?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jane \u2013 The Gold Coast really does encompass sea and surf lifestyle with the added benefit of having shops and restaurants close by. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go (including supermarket shopping) and the children were entertained utilising the great pool and hotel facilities. With the beach walking distance as well it was a well-rounded family holiday without necessarily having to travel far!<\/p>\n

Jonathan \u2013 Definitely, just because it is so fun and it was so good that we could walk to the shops and stuff.<\/p>\n

Jane – Definitely a 10<\/p>\n
