Start your day with a comfortable pickup from Cluj-Napoca and travel through the scenic heart of Transylvania, passing rolling hills and traditional villages.
Continue your journey to Saschiz Fortified Church, part of the UNESCO-listed fortified churches of Transylvania, where you will explore the rural Saxon heritage and learn about its unique defensive architecture. If the weather is nice, we will visit the newly renovated Saschiz Peasant Fortress.
Next, arrive at the Historic Centre of Sighișoara, a UNESCO-listed medieval citadel and one of the best-preserved inhabited towns in Europe. Join a guided walking tour featuring the Clock Tower, the Covered Stairway, and the Church on the Hill, while discovering the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, the Romanian ruler who served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s novel ”Dracula”.
After the guided tour, enjoy free time to have lunch, explore the colourful streets, and soak in the medieval atmosphere at your own pace. In the afternoon, relax on the scenic drive back to Cluj-Napoca, where your day trip comes to an end.
