Sightseeing River Cruise with Admission to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

by Mirimar Cruises Duration 5h 30m Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per adult Price is AU$78

In the Brisbane suburb of Fig Tree Pocket, a tiny paradise for Aussie animals exists. Cruise down the Brisbane River to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, where you can get an unforgettable, up-close look at these lovable, tree-dwelling creatures plus a whole array of only-in-Oz animals.

Step aboard a modern cruise boat in the heart of the city, and set off for your meandering ride down the Brisbane River. As you pass by modern mansions and historic Queensland homes, your captain provides entertaining narration about Brisbane, past and present. Grab tea or a bite to eat if you'd like during your 1 hour 15 minute ride.

Disembark at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary with plenty of time to explore. The world's first and largest koala sanctuary, this eco-park is home to more than 130 cuddly, eucalyptus-munching marsupials and a variety of critters native to the land Down Under.

Watch the Tasmanian devil feeding while colourful parrots and cockatoos chirp overhead. Hand-feed a sherbet-splashed rainbow lorikeet or a curious kangaroo, and watch a sheep herding demonstration by the resident dogs at the sanctuary's farm.

The main attraction is, of course, the Koala Forest. Make your way into the enclosure for a chance to hold one of these sleepy, snuggly creatures. Learn about the conservation efforts being made by the sanctuary, the plight of Australia's endangered animals and what you can do to help before boarding the boat for your return cruise to Brisbane.

We had an awesome time yesterday. The cruise is very informative and sometimes funny. The home made food is delicious! Better than anywhere else in Brisbane. The crew are always extremely friendly and helpful and these factors are why we always brings interstate and overseas guests on your cruise. My American guest had the time of her life on the cruise and at the sanctuary. She has visited Australia 3 times before but this was her first time in Brisbane. She has now concluded that Brisbane is the prettiest city in Australia. The river cruise and Lone Pine contributed to that. Thank you very much for all that you do for tourism.
