After time to explore the area, youll move onto the Lang Ca Ong Whale Temple. According to legend, the remains of a whale washed up on the Vung Tau beach over 100 years ago. The carcass was so huge that fishermen had to wait for the flesh to decompose before being able to pull it to shore and display the bones, which came to symbolise the protector of the coast. Now, every time a whale washes ashore, the bones are ceremonially hauled to the mausoleum.
