What you can expect

Discover Vung Tau city in Southern Vietnam, a seaside town which was built around trade many years ago. Today, its a thriving tourist destination and a real pleasure to visit. This tour gives you an opportunity to enjoy the culture of Vietnam in an interesting and informative way.

Your tour of the area will begin with a drive through the countryside to a local village, where youll learn the ancient art of rice paper making. Rice paper making is the main source of income for the village and this is a great chance to learn how the local people manufacture one of the most popular Vietnamese food products.

Continue to Vung Tau, a city resort located in the province of Dong Nai and features two beautiful mountains - the Large and Small Mountain, nestled against a glistening ocean.

After time to explore the area, youll move onto the Lang Ca Ong Whale Temple. According to legend, the remains of a whale washed up on the Vung Tau beach over 100 years ago. The carcass was so huge that fishermen had to wait for the flesh to decompose before being able to pull it to shore and display the bones, which came to symbolise the protector of the coast. Now, every time a whale washes ashore, the bones are ceremonially hauled to the mausoleum.

Take a break for some lunch on your own and relax amidst a setting of serene, landscaped gardens, rocky cliffs and a coastal view of the southern Chinese seas.

Photo and shopping opportunities will be given on your visit to Front Beach. Located west of the city, where you will witness the amazing show of colours given by the sunset, along this gorgeous beach filled with restaurant, shops and elegant hotels.

At the end of the tour, you will return to the ship in plenty of time in advance before your ships departure.
