National Monuments & Memorials Half-Day Tour

by All Washington View Tours Duration 3h Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per adult Price is AU$72

Get a look at the icons of the National Mall with a tour to the most memorable structures in the nation's capital city. From the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial, the White House lawn to the Potomac River, you get a look at the District's solemn monuments and working centers of power.

After you step on board the bus, take a ride to admire the great dome of the United States Capitol, the stately Neoclassical building that serves as the seat of Congress and anchors the east end of the Mall. From there, a ride along Pennsylvania Avenue shows you landmarks like the National Gallery of Art, the Newseum, and the National Archives on your way to the White House.

Once you've had some time to see the residence that has held American presidents since the days of John Adams, the bus takes you down 17th Street and past the headquarters of the Organisation of American States to visit the National World War II Memorial. From there, follow the Tidal Basin to the Holocaust Museum, and then the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

Make a stop at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial to see the landmark created to honour the civil rights leader, and then the Abraham Lincoln Memorial, which stands between the memorials to the veterans of Korea and Vietnam. The bus then takes you past the Kennedy Center and Watergate Hotel on your way to a brief, last stop at the Marine Corps War Memorial before you return to your meeting point.
