Description

Visit a Gujarati home for a cooking demonstration followed by lunch or dinner. You can choose to participate in the cooking, or merely watch and learn.Gujarati cuisine is quite distinctive due to its use of the sugar (or jaggery) in most dishes and this is what demarcates Gujarati food from other Indian food. A typical Gujarati food consists of rice or chapatti, pulses, vegetables, kachumbar (mixed vegetable salad), farsan, papad, chutneys and pickles.Traditional Gujarati Thali food is very popular and has now become part of Gujarati’s food culture. The Thali is a lavish spread consisting of mouth-watering farsan snacks like khaman, khandvi, kachori, dhokla, dahi vada etc, a variety of dals (lentils), vegetables, breads, papads, chutney and pickles, and traditional deserts such as jalebi, shrikhand, gulab jamun, malpuas etc.The menu can be customised to meet your diet preferences and do let us know if you have any food allergies.
