A flight safari is the perfect solution for those who don’t have the extra time of an overland trip. In under an hour you’ll travel from Nairobi, enjoying the golden vistas of Kenya from the air and settle at a convenient airstrip in the Maasai Mara.

There you’ll be welcomed and ushered in a private customised pop up top Land Cruiser Jeep to your lodge or tented camp. Then get ready for 3 days of unlimited animal viewing throughout the vast stretches of the Mara.

You’ll have plenty of time to take in the wonders of this famous park. The Maasai Mara National Game Reserve is known for its dense population of big cats, broad rolling grasslands and graceful acacia trees highlighting the landscape.

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara

  • Accommodation: On your first safari evening, you’ll relax and enjoy dinner at the safari lodge or tented campground of your choice.

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner 7:00 hrs. – We’ll pick you up at the location of your choice – hotel, residence, or the Nairobi airport for the easy ride over to Wilson Airport. There, you’ll board your plane for the approximately one-hour flight to the Maasai Mara. Winging over the sprawling Kenyan landscape, you’ll be treated to views of iconic Mt. Kilimanjaro and the dramatic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Mid-morning you’ll touch down at the Mara airstrip where you’ll be met by your guide for the next three days. Your Natural World Kenya Safaris guide will grab your bags and usher you into a private, open-top 4 x 4 safari Jeep. This first short ride to your accommodation will be your introduction to the striking grasslands and picturesque acacia trees of the Maasai Mara Reserve. Settle in at your safari lodge or tented camp and get ready for lunch. There, over your first meal in the reserve, your guide will discuss various aspects of the park and areas you might like to explore.
Day 2: Full Day – Maasai Mara

  • Accommodation: After a busy day exploring the great reserve, you’ll appreciate some downtime with a robust dinner at your lodging.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner We’re on safari time and that means an early rise to enjoy the morning light creeping across the plains and the sight of the wildlife emerging into the new day. This will be a full day of game drives and to do as you please. Should you be fortunate enough to visit the reserve during the season of the Great Migration (July – October) you will witness one of the natural wonders of the planet – an unending train of wildebeests and zebras crossing into the park over the Mara River on their annual trek. And waiting for them are the park’s many predators – lions, leopards, cheetahs, and crocodiles hidden beneath the river’s surface. You can observe the drama and the spectacle, taking a break with a picnic lunch down at the Mara River.
Day 3: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

Meal Plan: Breakfast It’s our final day on safari so let’s rise with the sun and the wildlife to appreciate nature’s many wonders before us. An early game drive will set the tone as we find still more species foraging on the sprawling plains around us. We’ll enjoy a safari breakfast back at our lodge or tented camp and dwell on all that we’ve seen over the past three days. But now it’s time to hop into our 4 x 4 Jeep for a final game drive as we head to the airstrip and our flight back to Nairobi.
