About the Program

Q: How do I register for my club, or if I'm a professional athlete?

A: Learn more about whether you can register your club at www.sportsfoundation.org.au. Please note eligibility requirements apply.

Q: Can my school sports team participate?

A: Yes, schools are in the same category as a normal sports club! However, there are eligibility requirements so please visit www.sportsfoundation.org.au for more information to check if your school team is eligible.

Q: How do I get my code and how do I know if my club has registered for the program?

A: Visit wotif.com/sport and find out if your club or athlete code is on in the list provided. For club managers or individual athletes: if your code isn’t on the list, please contact us here to find out if your club/athlete is eligible to participate.

Q: Can the Club Code be used for bookings made on wotif.com/sport for leisure travel?

A: Yes, the code can be used by club members or individual athletes, as well as their family, friends and supporters, for club travel, leisure travel and even business travel.

Q: What can I book through Wotif.com/sport?

A: You can book accommodation, flights, packages, car hire and activities, both in Australia and overseas on Wotif.com/sport.

Q: Why does the amount I can earn for my club/athlete vary depending on what I am booking via Wotif.com/sport?

A: The amount you earn for your eligible club depends on the product you are booking. The following percentages of your total booking value will go to your club/athlete:

 Accommodation: 5%
 Packages: 2%
 Flights: 1%
 Car Hire: 3%
 Activities: 4%

Q: Can I make a group booking?

A: On Wotif.com/sport you can book a variety of products for groups, including accommodation, flights, packages, activities and car hire.

Accommodation: You can search for hotel bookings for up to 8 rooms and up to 14 people per room. As long as you follow the Booking Guidelines, a percentage of the total booking value will go to the Australian Sports Foundation as with individual bookings.

If you require 9+ rooms and select this option during your accommodation search, this will submit an enquiry to a specialised group travel team and a travel planner will be in touch to process your enquiry.

IMPORTANT: as Wotif’s booking process for 9+ rooms is a little different, please contact us here with your Wotif Itinerary Number and Club Code upon making your booking so Wotif can assist. This must be done to take advantage of the Wotif.com/Sport program.

Flights: You can search for flights for up to 6 adults and 6 children.

Packages, Car Hire & Activities: Options will vary by what you search for.

These amounts may vary over time and will be communicated on our wotif.com/sport homepage.

 

Making a Booking

Q: Can I talk to someone about my booking?

A: If your enquiry is specifically about your travel booking, such as changing dates or cancellations, please contact Wotif customer service on 1800 781 972.

Q: Does it cost me or my club money to register with the Australian Sports Foundation?

A: No, the Australian Sports Foundation fundraising program is free to join. However, there are eligibility requirements so please visit www.sportsfoundation.org.au for more information.

Q: How long is this on offer for?

A: This program is valid for all eligible bookings made on Wotif.com/sport from 24 July 2018. The program may be discontinued without notice. 

Please review the standard Wotif.com/sport booking terms and conditions. And be sure to follow the Booking Guidelines as outlined on wotif.com/sport.

Q: Will I be updated by my club on what the portion received from my booking is being spent on?

A: The Australian Sports Foundation encourages all clubs or athletes who benefit from this program to thank their supporters and provide regular updates to show how the funds have been used. Of course, this is the responsibility of the club or athlete involved and your personal information is not provided to the club or athlete.

Q: I don’t have a club I want to support, can I just choose the Australian Sports Foundation (not a particular club)?

A: Yes, you can choose Giving4Grassroots™ which is the Sports Foundation’s community sport fund - it helps everyone from disadvantaged kids, girls and women, people with disabilities and indigenous or people from multicultural backgrounds to play sport. The code for it is ASF000182.

Q: Can I use a Wotif coupon code as well as a club code?

A: To generate the funds for your club, you can only apply coupons listed here:

  • There are no public coupons available at this time.

Q: If I use an eligible coupon listed on this page, will funds remitted to my club take into account the coupon code discount?

A: The percentage of your total booking value that will be remitted to your club will be based on the amount that is charged to your card or pay pal account, not the amount displayed prior to entering any eligible coupon code.

Q: Is the Wotif Price Promise valid on my booking?

A: Yes, the Australian Sports Foundation will still receive a percentage of your total booking value when the Wotif Price Promise is applied to your existing booking. Eligibility criteria apply to the Wotif Price Promise.

Q: What happens if I choose an accommodation pay later option? 

A: Where you have the option to pay upfront online, or pay later at the property, the funds will be remitted to the Australian Sports Foundation after you have completed your travel. 

Q: Can I book on app/mobile?

A: The program is not available through the Wotif App. It is however available on our mobile website. Simply visit Wotif.com/Sport in your web browser on your mobile, and follow the Booking Guidelines.

Q: What happens if I want to change my booking, resulting in me receiving a refund or paying additional money. Will funds still be remitted to my club?

A: If your initial booking is cancelled and a new one created, it will cancel your transaction with wotif.com/sport and your club will not be eligible to receive funds unless your new booking was also made though Wotif.com/sport. If you create a new booking through the call centre or not on wotif.com/sport, please submit an enquiry here
