Bali Zoo

Ride on an elephant, take a walk through the treetops and enjoy close encounters with the animals in this small zoo with a big heart.

At the Bali Zoo, stroll through the habitats of more than 350 animals. The zoo’s animals are well cared for and the keepers and staff are passionate and informative. The Bali Zoo offers numerous opportunities to interact with the animals in a safe and stress-free environment.

Feed deer, sun bear, orangutans, camels and, if you are game, tigers or crocodiles. Glimpse great cats, be mesmerized by the binturong (Asian bearcat), squirm at the snakes and watch an exotic bird show. Climb aboard an elephant and go on a ride through lush jungle. There are different types of elephant rides, from the 30-minute Elephant Back Safari, which doesn’t include zoo admission, to the 75-minute Elephant Expedition, including lunch or afternoon tea.

Get higher into the jungle canopy during a Tree Walk adventure as gibbons and birds call out overhead. Kids will love the Tree Walk’s zip line and giant spider climbing net.

Enjoy a high tea or gelato in the zoo’s Okavango Restaurant or graze from the buffet in the Elephant View Restaurant.

Bali Zoo is located in Singapadu Village, a 15-minute drive from Ubud and 20 minutes from Denpasar. Admission rates vary depending on the programs you choose. The zoo is open daily, except Hindu New Year, known as Nyepi Day, in March.
