Nusa Dua Beach

Relax on the idyllic beaches and see a temple complex and a museum in one of Bali’s most developed vacation spots.

Nusa Dua Beach is a stunning stretch of sand along a scenic peninsula in southern Bali. High-end resorts and rows of palm trees decorate the back of the beach, while the warm blue-green seawater laps the shoreline. Sunbathe on this postcard-pretty beach to enhance your tan.

Sit on a rocky promontory and enjoy the excellent views of the water. Beachcomb with your family along the stretches of sand and build castles together. The beach is clean and well-maintained. Rent a lounge chair to lie in the sun, then cool down with a swim in the refreshing water. Bring a mask and snorkel to get a glimpse of the colorful fish in the sea.

Many types of watersports are popular here. Strike a deal with tour operators on the beach for a Jet Ski trip. Try kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and parasailing, among other activities. Consider surfing on some of the large waves that hit the shore. Purchase snacks and refreshments from vendors patrolling the beach.

Take a ride on a glass-bottom boat to Turtle Island after negotiating with operators. Trek along the picturesque trails and spot snakes, exotic birds and turtles on the island.

The eastern part of the Nusa Dua enclave is Peninsula Island, a large headland with a picturesque green park. Wander along the well-laid paths and capture photos of the pretty gardens. Inspect the various statues and visit the Pura Bias Tugel temple complex. Go to the Waterblow at the eastern side of the peninsula at high tide to watch giant sprays of water rise between rocks as waves crash through a narrow inlet.

Stay at one of the exceptional resorts with access to the beach. Pamper yourself with the luxury lifestyle and spa treatment for a few days.

Nusa Dua Beach is on the southeastern flank of the Bukit Peninsula in southern Bali. Arrive by taxi from Ngurah Rai International Airport in about 30 minutes. Visit nearby attractions, such as the Bali National Golf Club and the cultural Devdan Show at Bali Nusa Dua Theatre.
