Exceptional quality hotel with quirky décor

Pros: Style style style ! Cleanliness, surroundings.
Cons: Our experience was really only marred by the renovations. This will obviously not affect people in the future.
Location: QT is in a great location, close to the wharf. We like to walk and this is an easy walkable town with this hotel well located
We loved our stay at QT. Disappointingly for us however, was the fact that the hotel was undergoing renovations, which was interesting during a busy summer period. These renovations meant we had scaffolding across our balcony which detracted for the view immensely. As compensation we were offered a free drink each !! Wow. I would have thought a discount would have been much more appropriate, given the affect on the overall experience for us. On the Saturday night we dined at Hippopotamus restaurant the magnificent on-site French high quality dining experience. Loved it, and the nice touch for my wife's birthday. This hotel is a very good travel experience, we would recommend it to those who could afford to stay there.

Pros: I love the individual nature/ feel of this large hotel. The art work is mazing
Cons: The bathroom cleanliness. Needs a good make over or mould/ mildew remover - just looks a bit grotty given the quality of the rest of the place.
Love this place. Great location, Amazing art work and atmosphere.

Art Lovers Paradise

Pros: Art pieces. Museum lighting. Nespresso machine. Mirrors
Cons: Bathroom! Aircon!
Very impressive lobby and reception area with wall to wall contemporary paintings and sculptures. The lighting is setup to view the art pieces in their magnificence. Staff were efficient and courteous although not altogether friendly. The room was standard size and old but did have an extended range of snack foods and little trinkets all available for purchase. Nespresso machine was nice although the milk frother lid rubber seal needed to be removed and cleaned properly. Light switches were not controlled from a centralized position so constantly needed getting up to switch off/on. Bathroom needed upgrading and still had a safety hazardous bath/shower to climb in and out of. Toilet seat was too small for the actual pan and obviously a stopgap solution. Shower mixer was from 1980s and very stiff. The big vanity top was a bonus as was the extensive use of mirrors. However the aircon system control seem to be set on 1 setting and was not cooling and actually turn it off to get comfortable. Sadly its an old hotel and despite its impressive artwork, it only 3 to 3.5 stars.

Great Stay- Close to everything you need

Pros: Comfortable and clean room, friendly staff, close to everything we needed!
Cons: Scaffolding outside our window (obstructing our view) and the pool was not an ideal temp (the pool was too cold but the spa was so hot).
Location: The location was great- close to everything you may need!
Our experience was fantastic! The hotel was clean and we loved the artwork displays in the main lobby. The staff were friendly and accommodating to all our needs (they even let us check-in early!). The room was pleasant and very comfortable. The hotel was close to all the main attractions and waterfront. Overall, was a wonderful experience.

Great experience

Pros: Beds Food in restaurant
Cons: The staff in the Hippopotamus were lovely but we would like them to be a bit more attentive. We had to ask for the food menus and then another drink.
Location: Lovely walk along the waterfront.
Wonderful rooms, beds, art work, front desk staff, concierge. Great position. Waitresses in Hippopotamus restaurant were slow but the food was delicious. Overall it was a great experience.
