Comfortable hotel in great location

Rooms were clean and well appointed. Friendly staff. Great location - easy access to restaurants and shops. Some minor issues with wifi and television (kept dropping out) but still enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed my two night stay. Nice and central and qu

Pros: Central location, nice room, quiet.
Cons: See above.
Location: See above.
Shame about one of the lifts being under repair as meant long waiting times. Also had to wait a long time for my car to be brought down to reception as the receptionist forgot to tell the conseirge, had to go back and ask again as other people leaving after me had their car brought down.

Great location in the heart of Wellington City. Hotel requires a major face lift. Only one lift was working and it seems the general public walk from through the hotel lobby for the lift access to the shops.

Great location and nice people but..

Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff
Cons: Needs an update and insulation between rooms improved.
I think the rooms are getting a little tired as is the club lounge and I have to say the walls are quite ‘thin’ as we could hear our neighbours quite clearly at times which was a little disconcerting when you are trying to sleep.

Handy location

Comfortable and clean hotel however starting to look dated. Good to see the lifts are being updated. The best thing this hotel has going for is it 's central location in the CBD with access either from Lambton Quay or the Terrace. The Sojurn Cafe was very nice for breakfast.

And the lifts were not working

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable.
I booked our room on line and was disappointed to be told that parking was an extra $29.00 overnight . Also the lift system was under pressure and there was no lift to access Lampton Quay. Having limited mobility as an amputee I attempted to access Lampton Quay through an adjacent building but that was unsuccessful. Eventually we resorted to eating at a restaurant on the Terrace but was not happy with the menu offered.

Central hotel - generally good for price point.

Pros: Quality of staff - close to amenities - size of rooms and bathrooms. Popular with tourists.
Cons: Furniture in bathroom is a little tired - bathroom could be modernized but generally all good. Have stayed many times in past.
Location: Very close to shops, Queens Street wharf and many coffee bars and eating venues. Good views from many rooms showcasing city and harbour.
Good welcome on arrival - Reception staff knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms could do with a refresh - bedside tables tired looking and shower curtains over bath very dated look for bathroom. However good space in bathroom and bedroom and comfortable room. Value for money. Bartender had never heard of Aperol Spritz nor was he interested - not very engaged with customers.

Holiday

Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom refresh
Location: handy to everything and we walked once we arrived.
I have stayed here often and it is always very good. However this time due to lift maintenance there was only one lift so it was very slow getting to and from the room. There were two lifts out at the same time on a very busy weekend which did seem to be good planning - but I realise that the lifts maintained so this can not be avoided. Some aspects of the bathroom were looking tired but still very clean. I will stay again - thanks

Very central, close to waterfront.

Really liked the lift that takes you to central Wellington and absolutely loved the club lounge... we will be back for sure.
