Good but not 4 stars

Pros: Good central location.
Cons: See the experience; the restaurant charges are over-inflated for the quality of the food (not bad but not worth what we paid for); "gym" is small
Irritating details for a costly hotel: fan extractor in the bath room not working properly; the "perfumes" linger for a long time and the humidity too as proved by rotten panel under the sink; flushing the toiler, you need a powerful forearm, seems stuck at time. No way to fix the temperature without putting the fan/aircon on and then it is only on low; the only variable is the temperature. The most ridiculous feature is the security peephole allowing the client to see who is knocking at the door: very highly located, at about 175 cm...my wife and I are 165 cm...totally useless for at least half if not more of the human race.

Good hotel, bit dated

Cons: The rooms definitely need updating.
The room was what you'd expect for the amount paid. Nothing fancy, but functional.

Overall OK could do with a spruce up!

Lobby areas with cafe etc is lovely but the rooms and floor corridor spaces are becoming very tired or non functional. Staff where very helpful.

Definitely not a 4.5 star anymore

Pros: The staff were great!
Cons: It either needs updating, or a reduction in its rating.
Location: Location was pretty central.
While the staff were fantastic, the hotel itself was very outdated... the bathrooms in particular, which now contain mouldy grout in the shower. The pipes in the bathroom were very noisy and clanged all through the night. There were also dirty dishes left outside our neighbours room from breakfast, and we're still there at 7pm that night.

Staff took ages to check me in. When checking out there were three people behind the front desk. One was helping a customer the others were just fluffing around. The room was fine, bed comfy.

Never booking through wotif again, garbage service, gone to the dogs, the clincher was when other totally unrelated apps starting spamming me with ads for hotels I'd been searching

Unexpected Car parking Issue !!! Extra $29 to park

Very upset getting stung with extra $29 to park our car!!or to get told $4 per half hour!! Then we went to have a meal in restaurant and were told they had no Tables available until later. Had to move all our bags ourself to the 19th floor and we had heaps and a lot of trouble with the trolley! Hidden costs did not impress me at all

Nice Hotel - great central location

Pros: Clean rooms - spacious. Staff attentive and efficient. Good in house meal venues.
Location: Central to shopping areas and Wellington harbour foreshores where you have a great selection of alternative restaurants and entertainment venues .
Great restaurant on both levels with good menu selections. Attentive staff and greats ervice.
