Close to public transport

On Granville rd with train station and public bus service very close, but on a busy rd and our room was too close to the traffic noise and night club across the street, clean budget accomodation but no lifts so be prepared to carry suit cases up several flights of stairs

Central hotel with friendly staff

Location good, room serviced everyday. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. Good facilities - shared kitchen.

Best location!

Pros: Location, friendly staff, clean
Cons: Nothing. Everything you need to know before booking is clearly in their hotel description.
Location: Edge of yaletown. On Granville street which is the main strip through Vancouver
This place is great. It's in a great part of Vancouver if you enjoy night life and want to be able to walk almost anywhere in the city. Beds were comfy. It was nice to have a to with cable channels even though we were out a lot. Shared bathrooms were no issue at all. They were super clean at all times and in 5 days I never has to wait to use one.

Hotel of Last Resort

Pros: The staff were great and made my stay bearable. It is conveniently located walking distance to Granville Island.
Cons: It needs a thorough renovation to bring it up to the standard that modern travelers expect.
Location: Granville Island is walking distance. Coal Harbour is a 20 minute walk away. There is a decent burger place on the ground floor of the building.
I stayed in this hotel because all of the other hotels in my price-range were booked out for the period I needed to be in Vancouver. Otherwise, I wouldn't choose this hotel. All the rooms on a floor have to share bathrooms. The bathrooms were kept clean. The cleaning of my room, however, left something to be desired, and it appears that housekeeping consisted of someone flipping the covers up on the bed, and replacing the towels. I don't think my room was cleaned at all during my stay, which would explain the cockroach the size of my thumb that I saw scuttling across the floor one night. The window was a strange, old-fashioned design which pivoted horizontally to open and close. Unfortunately, the latch to keep it closed was missing, which led to a permanent draft. It was summer, so it wasn't too bad, but in winter it would be horrid. The door to the room had a large gap across the top of it, and the curtains on the window didn't close properly. The floor in the corridor was uneven and the carpet had numerous stains. There's no way I would ever want to walk bare-foot there. There is a nightclub across the road, and I had a room at the front of the building. The Saturday night I spent there I hardly slept because of the noise from people queuing up. The light in the room was too dim, and the Wi-Fi, while free, was quite slow. One positive aspect was the staff. They were all friendly, helpful and kind. The location is good. Stay here if you are on a very tight budget.

Double bed with Shared bathroom review

So hot that had to leave window open all night which was extremely loud as it is on the main road. Would be much better away from the main road and with air con.
