As frequent, Worldwide travellers we are simply shocked and in disbelief! The level of staff incompetence, dismissal of client's concerns, lack of assistance and dismissal, mishandling of disappearance of some personal items – it all borders with unbelievable. Our short stay and attempt to recharge and prepare for a series of meetings in the North York area turned into the most disappointing hospitality industry experience of our lifetime.
After being given a cold room, with intense cold air draft overpowering malfunctioning heating system, we wasted a few precious hours in hope that heat will come up. Finally, called staff for assistance; confusion started by expecting maintenance person. Instead, front desk personnel offered a room a few doors down – in rush we have accepted such offer, only to realize several hours later that some of our belongings have been left in the room; and have disappeared. A simpl call for assistance in finding our valuable property turned into nightmare, total refusal of considerate and tactful customer service but dismissal, brushings off and essentially trying to get rid off annoyance. This was, in the end $300 “hotel stay”,combining hours spent in freezing cold room; 100 minutes + wasted on trying to reason and find lost/disappeared item with NO RESOLUTION, with no promised follow up call next morning - just some of the disappointing events we have been exposed to by this property and staff.
