So clean! Great for a family. Even left us some breakfast! To make an even better stay the gardens need attention!

Thanks for staying with us and glad you enjoyed your time and enjoyed our social breakfast. The front villa is available as the waterfront villa so that can be booked if you would like that next time. All the best for a great Tassie holiday

We stayed and the red cabin and sadly it felt like we'd drawn the short straw. This cabin was closer to the main road and to describe this as a "sea view" is generous. The place just felt unprepared and poorly designed. The provisions left for breakfast from the owner consisted of the left over marmalade and honey that felt like nobody topped up for our stay, and despite the owner telling us he'd left bacon and eggs, there was no bacon. There were no tissues in the cabin, and little things were annoying like there being only 2 glasses when there were 3 of us in the cabin. In short, it just didn't feel like the cabin had been prepared for our stay. As for the design of the cabin, the bathroom was downstairs and the rooms were upstairs. Not an issue for me, but I did think my older parents would hate such a design. Also the rooms were hot! I know its not a problem that often in Tassie, but with the airconditioner down stairs and the weather in the high 20's/30's, it was impossible to cool the bedrooms that had little insulation and gathered all the hot air. Add to this that most windows didnt have fly screens and only 1 pedistal fan was left behind. Yet we occupied 2 rooms? So we were left with the choice of a hot sleepless night or mosquitoes. A real missed opportunity here, location is good and the owner seemed nice, but they just need to take care of the little things that make a stay comfortable.

Thanks for your review. It is a shame it is anonymous as I would like to follow up. I apologise as it appears our service team missed a couple of things on this day. Breakfast on the first day is normally complimentary and we either put provisions in your villa or invite you to join us for a social breakfast. Normally the rate does not include breakfast. I would have sent you an email outlining provisions of bacon and free range eggs along with bread and cereal and milk. This appears not to have been fully stocked by our service team and we certainly apologise for that. Also if you were a glass short that is for our service team to pick up to. It could have been easily fixed had you called us on the day. As for the second fan in the second bedroom that is a good idea and we will move to initiate that. As you say there are not many nights hot enough that need it down here but for those nights it would be helpful it is an easy thing to achieve. We accept the criticism that we have missed some little things on this occasion and welcome the feedback to help us address the issues. We hope you had a great holiday in Tasmania. All the best

A good central location on the Tasman peninsula. Only a short drive to either Port Arthur, Nubeena or Eaglehawk Neck.

Hi Courtney, congratulations on your engagement. We have had people celebrate 20 year and 50 year anniversaries and many on their honeymoon but you are the first to get engaged on the day you stayed with us. Glad you had a great night. Best wishes for a wonderful wedding and hope to help you celebrate further milestones.

Spontaneous weekend on the Tasman Peninsula

Pros: Everything.
Location: Quiet, peaceful location. Set onto the bay. Just 10 minutes away from the historical site, blow hole, eateries/pubs. Plenty of things to keep you busy
A wonderful spontaneous trip to one of the most beautiful spots in Tasmania. Booked the cottage at the last minute the night before, after staying here once before many years ago. The cottage offered everything we needed. It was lovely and warm when we arrived, there were electric blankets on all the beds, and the pantry was full of condiments and handy other things we could have ever possibly needed for a range of meals. Corn flakes, Nutri grain and plenty of milk for breakfast. And a beautiful view looking out towards the bay. Location just 10 mins either way to food and attractions. Couldn't have faulted anything.

Clean and cosy cottage

The cottage was very cute and quite comfortable for our family (2 adults, 2 kids 8 &9) however the seating was inadequate. Very clean and easy to book. We didn't actually ever see our host! All done via phone or email. Good location, close to all we wanted to see.
