I need to get fit!

I'd forgotten that Thredbo is basically built on the side of a hill, which means lots of stairs! But a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, combined with a clean comfortable room made for a great stay!

Lots of stairs, basic accommodation

Pros: The bed was ok.
Cons: The palce desperately needs some staff that loves the place and makes you want to be there.
Location: Location is tricky, Access only for fit & healthy people as both entrance at the topo and from the bottom is though several flights of stairs.
The hotel itself is very basic, do not expect any luxuries other than a wrapped soap on the bathroom. During our stay i tripped and fell, grazing my knee. Much to my surprise, there was no First Aid kit available, or any disinfectant or even a band-aid. The manager was barely civil and only offered "in my 9 years here, i've never been asked for that". In the room itself the blinds have a mandatory cord guide, which is meant to be at the bottom of the looped cord, so kids can't accidentally strangle themselves. The cord guide was attached right night to the roller, at the top of the blind, rendering it entirely useless for its purpose. No room for dietary requirements - no gluten free toast at breakfast, which is a selection of cereal and canned fruit. The young staff at breakfast was friendly but not overly apologetic. If the price would reflect the above, i would not have a problem. But for $450 per night, including ONLY a basic continental breakfast, the experience was more than disappointing.

Nice stay near the heart of Thredbo village

Pros: Location, quietness, access.
Cons: The stairs can be tiring but it can not be avoided.
Location: Thredbo village. Downhill 10-15 minutes walk to Friday Flat.
As a family with young children, we found our room to be warm and quiet. We parked our cars with our ski gear down at Friday Flat and found it very easy to access the ski field. The stairs were manageable for our early primary kids. The staff at reception was helpful and friendly. We all enjoyed good nights of sleep. The breakfasts were well prepared and served with friendliness. Overall we had a great experience.

Room was comfortable and exactly as promised. It was quiet and an easy walk or bus ride to the ski area.

Basic but functional

We only needed a roof over our heads and a bed during a 3 day lightweight MTB tour. The included breakfast was the highlight. Overall, very basic room and super small but good value all things considered.

Stunning view of the mountains from our room

Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Proper queen bed rather than 2 single beds together, which is not comfortable
Location: Top of Thredbo village, so good views to mountains and ski slopes.
Comfortable, clean, friendly lodge. Lovely breakfast each morning. Great views from our room as well as dining/lounge room. Convenient lockers for snow gear, and drying room. Good value for money. Prepare for a bit of a climb up the steps from the road though! Thedbo courtesy bus stops just across the road.

clean and comfortable

It's an old building but room was clean and comfortable. Bunk bed was hard to get on because of ceiling but breakfast was good. Great views of mountains!
