JUST 1 MILE EASY GOLF CART RIDE TO PUBLIX GROCERY, CVS, DOLLAR STORE AND NUMEROUS RESTAURANTS. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION....RIGHT DOWN THE STREET IS FREE YOGA AND DRUMMING ON THE BEACH. SIESTA KEY BEACH AND NOKOMIS BEACH ARE 5 MILES AWAY. IF YOU ARE WAITING FOR YOUR RESERVATION ON ONE OF OUR HOUSEBOATS OR HAVE JUST DEBOARDED, THIS IS ALSO AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY BECAUSE IT IS RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE MARINA. outside was unkemp, pool with algea, cushions on outside had black mold Air quality was poor had to wear a mask the only night we stayed! Illegal apartment as there is only one way out speaking to the fire marshall Would not recommend this place just for safety concerns and disappointed VRBO would allow this rental. Unable to get any money back at this time

Don't stay here
The property owner was not available and we did not receive the access code for two hours after we got there. VRBO sent us to another hotel. Second night we had no hot water and owner was not available again. VRBO did not help us this time and we ended up paying out-of-pocket for another hotel. Turns out the host and her husband are going through a divorce and Sarasota County has a stop order for all their rentals.

No one there to handle problems. Room was damp and had bug problems. Hot water took forever to get hot. Toilet handle was broken so had to lift arm to flush. Lighting poor in kitchen area.

The location saved this place
The location was marvelous. However, the place was dirty - bathroom; floor and the outside. There were fake flowers in a pot that was overflowing with cigarette ends. There are no windows to the outside except for the one at the kitchen door. It was so very stuffy - no ventilation. Having said all; the place has great potential with a little work. The location was the best part.

Beware, Very Misleading. Description stated “guest house” but it is a converted space in someone’s basement. No key pad for entry, they just left the key in the door for us. It felt unsafe. There were ladders and construction around the property. Inside, the smell of mold was heavy. There were kayaks and a golf cart available, but everything is extra charge. There was no beach, just a dock. Casey Key is one of our favorite places to visit, but we could not stay one night at this property. We went to a nearby hotel instead.

Not what we thought, but a good stay for the night.
The bed was SUPER comfy and spacious which was awesome. Shower pressure was great, but the shower wasn’t clean. Someone else’s hair was actually dried to the shower wall. It was nice that the tv had lots of watch options, but the overall space felt like it was advertised to be MUCH more than it was. One of the things we were looking forward to was the hot tub which was not readily accessible and you had to drive a good bit to the beach. No direct access. Overall not a bad stay just was not what we thought we paid for.
