Beautiful hotel with disappointing service
Started at check in when the room that I reserved on hotels.com was not available because I was checking in late - “my room was given away”. The front associate said that happens when you book through a third party. No apology, nothing. I asked if she could add my Hyatt rewards for WiFi and breakfast and she said no, third party booking. I stay in a Hyatt place at least twice a month for work. Never been a problem. Still a beautiful hotel and a nice room. Received an email response from the hotel via hotels.com saying a manager would follow up but never did. Day two left at noon returned from kayaking and dinner around 7pm and housekeeping never came to the room. I called the front desk to let them know housekeeping didn’t make it to our room and could we get a soap and two towels? Associate was short, no apology, only sent up towels. At this point I was over it. Day three - check out. Waited ten minutes at the front desk for someone to help me. She was short, said I didn’t need a receipt since I paid through a third party and there were no additional charges. Bye. I knew explaining my visit would not get me anywhere - service all around is an opportunity. Disappointing in such a beautiful hotel.
