Enjoyable stay

The staff were very friendly and prompt. The bed was really comfortable. I thought the bathroom might have been a bit bigger and more plush at that price point.

We stayed one night and our room and facilities were clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very nice. It was a nice walk to Queenstown and not far at all. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone!

Lovely, Slightly disheartened over price & reality

Pros: Lovely hotel/stunning views/courtyard garden but no fish in any of the ponds
Cons: One window in a large abnormal shaped room, air con is like central heating but with one small vent, not enough circulation. No flyscreens no pool
Location: Great location. Gorgeous views of water & mountains. Hotel has a shuttle bus service hourly to main area for shopping, entertainment, restaurants, etc
Lovely hotel, pretty views and location was great but overpriced. Staff were half & half...some were borderline rude and some overcompensated and were nicer. Air-conditioning in rooms was laughable, more like central heating but with one small vent which was insane as rooms are abnormally shaped. One window (no fly screens) in each room and if you have the air- conditioner on it doesn't work if you have the window slightly open. No circulation of air inside the rooms especially at night. Beautiful inner courtyard garden but no fish in any of the pond area, this was an enormous disappointment to my daughters. Free hotel shuttle bus that runs you to the main shopping/eating district is great as the walk down is ok but the walk back is very steep

Easy walk into central Queenstown

Pros: Staff
Cons: Smokers standing outside the front door was awful as you had to walk through a cloud of smoke everytime you came and went to the hotel!
Staff were excellent. We did a late booking due to a flight cancellation and they gave us the best room they could as we had children with us.

Would never stay in this hotel again,

much better accomodation out there for the price. Smelly dirty looking carpet, room had no views of snow or mountains or lake view, two singe beds put together peddled as double bed. no tooth paste or toothbrush. Burnt coffee in the restaurant. The only good amenities were wifi and really good free flowing hot water in the shower; that is some respite,,

management is not professional

Pros: location and receptionists
Cons: managers need to be trained properly. and the restaurant chef was rude.
Location: very close to the town.
The house keeping staff forgot to put on the sheet for the quilt. I didn't realise that until very late night when I went to bed. The receptionist fixed the problem immediately after I called him. That was good for the receptionist. But the hotel management never replied me officially or gave me an apology after I wrote a complaint this issue to the management of the hotel. I confirmed with that receptionist who already had given my complaint to his manager. This is very unprofessional for such a big hotel.

Dear Tom, Thank you for your feedback on your recent. Our Housekeeping Manager was trying to get in touch with you next day but you were out for most of the day. I agree that a letter should have been placed in your room which I apologise for. We do take pride in our service and standard and clearly it was lapsed in this instance. We hope to offer you a better experience on your next stay. Regards Dinesh Gandhi Operations Manager

In need of a revamp

We travelled from wellington. Considering the cost equivalent. That would of paid for a very good room with great views in other parts of nz. Our original room we were placed in had mould in bathroom, stains on blankets and very dusty. I requested another room and i can not complain about service but the price and condition of room was very far apart . In addition. The tv reception was not clear and a inquiry was lodged with recotion to look into. Great people and apologetic.

Dear Luke, Thank you for your feedback and photographs from your recent stay. I am disappointed to see this and have forwarded the issues to our Executive Housekeeper. This is not our usual standard and I hope that you will see the other positive feedback from other guests. Our Executive housekeeper has dealt with the staff who cleaned your room and have provided further training to avoid this situation in future. We sincerely hope to provide you with a better experience on your next visit. Regards Dinesh
