"Useful to Know for the more Mature Traveller"
Thoroughly enjoyed a short break here. Lovely hotel, friendly efficient staff and excellent breakfast. The most useful fact for me was the daily shuttle bus on the hour into the town with the last bus returning to the hotel just after at 9pm. Given the party atmosphere of Queenstown that was quite late enough especially given the wonderful array of outdoor fresh air activities Queenstown offers.

"Great unit complex for families!"
Our family of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 kids) stayed here for two nights on our recent holiday in NZ. Our unit was impeccable. It was clean, there were plenty of blankets, towels and toiletries. The kitchen and the entire unit was well heated, and we had a very comfortable stay. The unit also has a washing machine and dryer which is useful with all the water activities our family did. I would recommend this hotel and we will stay here again.

"Great location!"
Great location for this hotel with just a short walk to downtown, gondola and a nearby supermarket. Off-street parking available and the host (Liz) was a wealth of knowledge on the local area and can also book any trips or tours you might be interested in.

    Queenstown Hotels With History

Do you have a hankering for experiences from centuries past? Do you find yourself saying, “They don’t make hotels like they used to”? Well, that may be the case, but at Wotif we’ve rounded up the best deals on historic accommodation in Queenstown, so you can stay in vintage buildings without needing a time machine. If you’ve mastered time travel, though, we’d like to get in on that.

Traipse through the hallways of a Victorian hideaway, retire to castle-esque accommodation like 17th-century nobility or tuck in to a secluded bungalow like your favourite explorers. When you book Queenstown historic accommodation with Wotif, we’ll make sure you have old-timey options with modern amenities. Step back in time without giving up some of the best parts of being on holiday—like hot baths and cosy beds after a day of sightseeing. Because history needs a little illumination. Just ask Thomas Edison!

When you want to get to know layers of your dream destination, what better way to get started than staying in a hotel that has a few stories to tell in its walls? Sightseeing is the highlight of any holiday, but there’s nothing like getting a taste of the old days first hand. Stay close to your favourite sites and savour new—by which we mean “old”—flavours at nearby restaurants, or go antiquing ’til you drop. Travelling through time on a budget? We offer a wide range of luxury and cheap historic hotels in Queenstown. Pick your price range and century, and start booking.
