Very comfortable room. Handy to town - can walk there. View of lake was partially obstructed due to building design.

A nice comfortable stay. A little bit disappointed that you had to pay for Wi-fi (even though it was only $NZ5.00 for 24 hours. Most of the other smaller motels we stayed at were free.

"Nice apartment close to town (2 min walk)"
Quiet and well located to QT town centre. Also, we were kindly upgraded to a larger, more spacious 4 bed apartment at no extra cost/without asking, after only booking a 3 bed apartment. Will def book to stay here again.

"Great unit complex for families!"
Our family of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 kids) stayed here for two nights on our recent holiday in NZ. Our unit was impeccable. It was clean, there were plenty of blankets, towels and toiletries. The kitchen and the entire unit was well heated, and we had a very comfortable stay. The unit also has a washing machine and dryer which is useful with all the water activities our family did. I would recommend this hotel and we will stay here again.

    Why book with Wotif ?

    Queenstown Hotels With History

Do you have a hankering for experiences from centuries past? Do you find yourself saying, “They don’t make hotels like they used to”? Well, that may be the case, but at Wotif we’ve rounded up the best deals on historic accommodation in Queenstown, so you can stay in vintage buildings without needing a time machine. If you’ve mastered time travel, though, we’d like to get in on that.

Traipse through the hallways of a Victorian hideaway, retire to castle-esque accommodation like 17th-century nobility or tuck in to a secluded bungalow like your favourite explorers. When you book Queenstown historic accommodation with Wotif, we’ll make sure you have old-timey options with modern amenities. Step back in time without giving up some of the best parts of being on holiday—like hot baths and cosy beds after a day of sightseeing. Because history needs a little illumination. Just ask Thomas Edison!

When you want to get to know layers of your dream destination, what better way to get started than staying in a hotel that has a few stories to tell in its walls? Sightseeing is the highlight of any holiday, but there’s nothing like getting a taste of the old days first hand. Stay close to your favourite sites and savour new—by which we mean “old”—flavours at nearby restaurants, or go antiquing ’til you drop. Travelling through time on a budget? We offer a wide range of luxury and cheap historic hotels in Queenstown. Pick your price range and century, and start booking.
