Not good value

Pros: On the lake
Cons: Bedroom & Bathroom of the suite
Location: Golf course & lake
Bedroom was closet like, dark and with poor lighting for reading. Small unusable balconies. Bathroom step down is a definite trip hazard. Kitchen benchtop was scratched and worn. Bedroom wall reverberates when neighbours close their doors.More

A warm freshly baked cookie on arrival, warm towels and the world's most comfortable bed, made our nights stay truly amazing. Close enough to shops and restaurants but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown queenstown makes you feel very relaxed. Friendly staff and great facilities. Room service meal was quick and very tasty, with so much selection it was hard to decide what to eat. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back.

Overnight stay before going to airport

Pros: Modern, great service, noon checkout was convenient.
Cons: No tv in bedroom Shower tiles poorly repaired Room doors closing spring altered to reduce noise of slamming doors.
Location: Very convenient location to airport was man reason to stay
Very nice modern hotel. Staff at hotel and café/bar were excellent. Just minor matters took the edge off the stay, ie Website outlined bar/grill open until 11pm, but actually closed at 10pm. Luckily we arrived earlier than expected so had a nice meal.

Great stay!

Spent a great 5 nights at the Doubletree Queenstown. The room was great and the housekeeping staff did a great job. Did feel like the service our room got the day before we checked out was a bit lack luster, which was a shame as the other days were excellent with even some towel art!! Wakatipu Grill was outstanding. Would love to stay at either the Doubletree or Hilton again.

Shuttle bus made Queenstown convenient

Being a mystery hotel I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not use many of the hotel facilities. The only negative was that the hotel did not have a free shuttle to & from the airport.

Beautiful compact room right on Lake Wakatipu

We were told we had been chosen for Guest of the Day and it was just fabulous. Room upgrade, bottle of wine, macaroons and all inclusive breakfast. We felt so spoilt and loved and appreciated.

Quality stay

Doubletree is an exceptional hotel with friendly staff that are always willing to help out. The people work hard to ensure a fabulous stay and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean and comfy and ours had an amazing view. The only place to stay in Queenstown

Not worth the money

Pros: Tidy
Cons: Parking-Improve water taxi running times
Expecting better then this, tiles damaged in the bathroom and the parking is terrible having to park up on the road. Small room with no storage in the bathroom for anything much.
