I stayed two nights at the Hawthorne and it was on the weekend of the impending snowstorm. January 18, 2020. Friday night was great. I stayed in room 421 and Melissa was Amazing during registration. I checked out because I wasn't sure on sure whether I
would need two nights. Saturday afternoon, not so much. Different energy. Ray completed my registration and that was fine. I asked about the room that I had just left 421, if it had been cleaned yet, if it had not been cleaned I would have gone back into it. I went to check the room. I had left a chicken pot pie in the freezer. The pie was gone but, the room was still not cleared. Since someone has been there I didn't stay. I requested another room. So, room 723 was freezing. That was the first room. There was a draft that I couldn't identify and after calling from my cellphone 4 times to the front desk because there is not active phone line in the rooms, I got throught to Ray. We switched to room 623 and it had better heat. However. the ice machine was broken and I had to unplug the refrigerator to sleep. Some woman with a latin accent tried to enter my room at 2:14AM. I yelled at her when she put the key in the door and she went away. The water in the shower came out brown and there was a huge rust stain in the tub. Saturday was a mess. I will be calling to speak with a member of the management team on Monday. Saturday night was unacceptable!
