We stayed here for a couple of nights in January 2020. It is reasonable, for the price point, in Nelson Bay.
The place is located in a relatively quiet spot, about ten minutes’ walk from the shops and restaurants, and about five minutes’ walk from the waterfront area along Victoria Parade. It has been operating here for well over 30 years.
The furniture and fittings are, consistent with the age of the place, a bit of a mixed bag. The laminate was lifted and broken on some of the built in fittings, there were a few tiles missing in the bathroom, the bathroom fittings showed their age, there were some water stains on the bathroom wall. On the other hand, the bed was comfortable, the table and chairs were newer and in good condition, the air conditioner was relatively new and did an excellent job in the humidity. The linen and towels were clean.
The room has a small balcony, with a clothes airer provided, which is handy for wet swimmers, etc.
There are some three rooms at ground floor level, with the balance upstairs on the first floor. This provides parking underneath. Parking is under cover and easy to use.
The pool was not particularly large, but well maintained.
