    Liked: friendliness of staff, honesty in returning an expensive camera found in foyer, that we left. pleasant pool area, clean facility. did not like: accommodation is 'tired' needing updating and/or repairs., eg carpet in hallway is wrinkled and furniture looks well used. Given daily rate it is not up to standard. services in room were non existent ie for price of nightly stay no hotel services provided. Soap was one very small cake for 3 nights, no sugar, was provided and no tea provided but granulated coffee was provided .

    The Oaks in Salamander Bay was a nice resort however is in need of renovations. The main pool that went through the entire property was great, however the rooms and property itself were dated. I was disappointed there was no restaurant or bar open on the property at the time; big let down. You definitely need a car if staying here, all the main restaurant areas are not within walking distance. They do have free self parking though which is a plus! The rooms were spacious, but are looking old and in need of a revamp. Overall was a nice getaway, staff were great, downside- no restaurant/ bar, need to update the premises.
