We loved our stay, the cottage was full of character. The wood heater made it very cosy and the location is brilliant.

I loved the quietness. The cottage itself was amazing. Especially the bed. If I have a good bed to sleep in then it makes the stsy so much more better. Communication with Denis was the best. I loved the comment book. It was good to see what others thought. If you are heading to Port Arthur then look to stay here.

Loved the quiet location; proximity to Port Arthur; rustic feel of the cottage; and the welcoming from the owner. However, the cottage was dirty - needed to clean the floor and some of the guests questioned the cleanliness of the bedding. And just in case, washed crockery, etc and cooking items before use.

Dennis's Cottage

Pros: Great place for an overnight (or Longer) stay. Place felt like my own home. You don't get better than that.

Cosy cottage

It had a real wood burning fireplace. Kitchen was old style in keeping with cottage age and decor. Very cosy, relaxing and comfortable. Just able to chillax with ease.

Handy base to view Port Arthur sights

Pros: Nit a hotel but a self contained cottage with lovely view and close proximity to Port Arthur attractions.
Location: Near Port Arthur Historic site and The Blowhole. Lots of natural features. And near the start of The Three Capes Walk which is why we stayed here.
We only overnighted here, but if I was wanting to stay for a few days to see Port Arthur sights, this would be a nice , comfortable cottage to use as a base. Friendly and helpful host Denis would help with anything he could to make your stay pleasant.

Wonderful place to chill out and relax.

Pros: Just the right size for two people. Parking at the door. Setting with view across the bay made it feel like 'a long way from anywhere'.
Cons: A really minor thing - We would have liked instructions for the wood heater. It's a long time since we used one and couldn't get it going.
Location: Just outside the Port Arthur Historic Site - all Tasman Peninsula activities are easily accessible from here.
On booking, we were provided with great details about preparing for the visit - where to shop, etc. The cottage was easy to find, conveniently located just off the main road - but felt like it was miles away! A cosy, comfortable, well equipped little place with everything we needed including a heat pump that warmed the space in no time and a really comfortable bed. Perfect getaway for two people looking for a technology-free weekend. Denis provided a heap of helpful information about the area, including best places to eat and lots of options for activities for people like us who didn't want to visit the Port Arthur tourist site. e.g. we spent a fascinating few hours at Saltwater River.
