Tempest (Japanese restaurant) was good and staff was great. Lobby bar tenders also great. Did not like checking in and being immediately presented with sales pitch to see other Hyatt properties. Let people check in, relax and enjoy the property first.

Decent resort, needs more food options. On the small side and quiet, no loud music being pumped into the air constantly, which was nice. Eric and Ernesto at the Social bar up top were fantastic.

NYE in Riviera Maya
Hyatt Zilara was a solid choice for us over new years. Some takeaways. 1. overall the staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful 2. food options were not my favorite. there were three restaurants in the hotel. basically an option for italian food, asian food (hibachi, sushi, etc.), and a mexican cuisine. food was good quality, but definitely got old by the 5th night. i wish there were better salads and snacks which seemed to be lacking. 3. the drink service was great 4. rooms were good quality, bathrooms were renovated, beds were very firm which I like a lot. 5. the spa was very nice, absolutely worth checking out Overall, we'd give the experience a 7/10.
