Well it is pretty old. Just very basic. Better for a backpacker than a couple. No frills, bed, tv, fridge. Very old bathroom. No bedside light. Poor.

A bit of a surprise, but cheap and convenient

I opened the door of my room and thought “Oh dear, I’ve booked into a convent, this is a nun’s cell.” Another guest thought it more like a prison cell, but I told him if it was a prison cell there would be a toilet in the room instead of down the hall. It was clean and friendly though, and it’s the only place I’ve stayed where I encountered a naked man scuttling down the hallway clutching a strategically placed towel...unfortunately he looked more like Woody Allen than Hugh Jackman. It was 8 celsius at night and no heat in my room, nor in the hotel itself as far as I could tell, but there was a lovely fire in the pub downstairs. The hotel is close to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and the cost fell within the PATS allowance for accommodation, and those were the most important things for me, as a remote area visitor. There were also shops and entertainment close to hand.
