After an event we attended, we went to the bar for a cocktail. The bartender seemed more interested in ending his night. He was not friendly and made us feel that we should just go to our room.

Modern and Trendy. Great Location.
Aloft hotel is modern and trendy. The location was great if you plan on being in the downtown area. It's very walkable from many restaurants and bars. It's about a 15 minute drive to the Universal Studios area and a 25-30 minute drive to the Disney Parks. Our room was very large (King corner) and we loved all the extra space. The bed was comfy and the curtains were true blackout style. Check in was quick and easy. We did not park a car. We used Uber while we were there and the drivers had no issue finding the hotel. The only tiny issue we had was that one of our pillows appeared to have very small straight black hairs in it. They looked almost like dog hairs. We were given 4 pillows, so we just threw that one to the side and didn't use it. Otherwise, I would stay here again.

The front desk staff and valet were extremely pleasant and friendly. Room Was clean and the accommodations were as advertised. It was our first stay at an Aloft brand, but will use them in the future!

Massive disappointment
I prepaid for my room in advance instead of just “reserving my room” as I wanted to guarantee that I had a room with 2 queen beds. I paid the 385 dollars weeks ago in an effort to avoid any issues at check in. Well when I checked in they had given my room away and only had a room with 1 bed, which is exactly why I prepaid so that I could avoid this exact situation. Traveling with 2 other men made this room and situation impossible. I was told I would get 25% of my room cost credited back to me and it never happened. The toilet in the room didn’t properly flush and they couldn’t fix it until after we checked out. Completely unacceptable for a hotel and property at this price range and “quality level” Super disappointed and not happy that I never got the credit towards my bill I was promised
