"Nice hotel, excellent restaurant"
My husband and I stayed for a weekend in summer - we enjoyed the heated pool, especially the drinks at the "pool bar". Nice, spacious room, good quality linen with comfy dressing gowns supplied. We ate at the restaurant both nights as the food and service was so good the first night. Breakfast was average both days.

"Pleasant Surprise"
I initially chose this property because of its price point. We were at a mountain bike race and wanted somewhere cheap. Very surprised on how clean and comfortable this property was. The receptionist had a great knowledge of mountain biking information and made excellent recommendations on where to eat. The room was clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything needed for self catering. The bath had a spa tub. Water pressure of shower was wonderful. Sheets and towels smelled good and mattress was soft. Cant fault anything for this property. It was much nicer than some of the 4 star properties we have stayed at. No need to look elsewhere on our next trip to Ohakune, we will be using this hotel again.

"Relatively basic - walk to Powder Horn"
Easy booking, nice and friendly, about what you'd expect for the price in Ohakune - we were three blokes on an NZ motorbike trip and it was perfect for what we needed

"Fantastic value for family of 5 "
Great location. Units modern, very clean and cosy. Fantastic price for family of 5 in one unit. Would definitely stay again. One let down however in that no one was at reception when we arrived to check in. Had to call for the owner to come from another location. Didn't take long but a little annoying as had run out of credit and had to top up etc

"ADORABLE!! No wonder it is always fully booked"
I would marry this place. I got a call the morning of the booking and I was told the number of room I was assigned. I was told that the keys will be inside the room if there was none available at reception. We arrives a couple of hours later, the reception was open, the girl was there and she guided us to our room. That was a great start, she signaled emergency exits and showed us what the room had included. We parked right in front of our room, It was a quiet night, toiletries were a PLUS, clean and nice towels, clean bed sheets, we had a nice hot chocolate (courtesy of this marvellous place) and we slept in a huge and comfortable bed. I am very picky so I checked the whole room and they did a great job in the cleaning department. Too bad we only stayed for 2 nights, next time we will definitely stay longer.

"Comfortable accomodation."
We were very pleased with the accommodation as we were a little bothered about sharing bathroom facilities. However the staff went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had a comfortable room next to another which had no guests so that the bathroom was totally ours. The room was comfortable, though a little cramped for four of us but very clean and quiet . We all slept soundly. The communal facilities were very clean and there was everything one needed to make a decent meal if necessary.

"Good family unit "
Chalet style unit, probably built in the 80's but well maintained and with nice new bathroom. Warm and welcoming. Very spacious for a family, but the staircase is very steep which may be a little tricky with very small children. We didn't make use of the restaurant but it looked nice.
