Good location in downtown, near 12th St BART. Staff were nice and the room was very comfortable and clean. Has the typical heating system of old buildings in the area, with radiators shared throughout the building and so you may need to open the window to cool it down. Very comfortable bed! The lobby is massive and bare and was almost exclusively empty, and has a small bar that I saw only three people sit at - a little more work to improve the vibe of the lobby would go a long long way; its such a beautiful, old building that it's a shame to see the lobby like this. Right next to the Swan Markets, which have some great coffee and cute restaurants.

Lift out of commission. Two differing stories-maintenance and also a new motor. Breakfast supplies kept running out. WiFI was intermittent. The bar closed for the weekend.

Nice hotel great location

Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Pub around corner, friendly staff cheap drinks and generous pub food. One block up Cafe 189 or some such number, best coffee all trip
A great location near the Bart station with easy access to downtown San Franciso and Oakland. A great coffee shop, pub and local cafes just around the corner. The staff were very helpful and friendly. For what we paid it was top notch. Would happily recommend.
