It was a lovely old property in a beautiful village and the staff were very friendly. It was also very clean. We weren't however very impressed with the breakfast, the continental was sadly lacking, just 2 choices of cereal and fruit and just toast, no pastries although there were yoghurts. The cooked choice was just full English or scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and the vegetarian option was just the full English with the meat taken away

    Avoid at all costs.

Room was £87 per night and I have stayed in better for £30-£40. The room didnt look like it had been decorated for 20 years and generally looks, feels, and smells old. The bedwas uncomfortable, and the shower head was leaking and firing in all directions. Requested early check out after the 1st of a 4 night stay (mainly due to being moved to another job well out of travelling distance) and was told the room wouldn't be able to be re-sold at such late notice (7am Tuesday Morning), full payment required for early check out and there was no halfway point. There were barely any cars in the car park which would indictate people weren't jumping over one another to stay here, but that's the policy and the Hotel manager was obviously desperate for the money. Requested to move rooms because the walls are paper thin, I may as well have been in the room next door joining in with the old couples conversation, tv programmes and bodily functions while at the toilet. Was told I had block booked the room for 4 nights and would not be able to move to a different room.
