INTERESTING

Pros: It was right in the middle of town. It was quiet the meals were great and the staff friendly. Continental breakfast included in the rate
Cons: Update the rooms
Location: Directly across the road from the West Coast Wilderness Railway.
Very strange. The bed was comfortable, everything else in the room was old & weatherbeaten. However, the bathroom was like stepping into another world. Very new and modern, great shower. It was a very bizarre experience. Overpriced for what the room was like.

Pros: The staircase and lovely fresh and clean bathrooms.
Our overnight stay was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were lovely and clean. The hotel has a lovely old ambience. Is close to shops and tourist railway.

Basic, but OK for an overnight stay

Pros: Handy location, cheap.
Cons: Renovations everywhere were annoying. My room didn't have a smoke detector fitted.
Location: Wilderness railway, etc.
The room was clean and comfortable - quite reasonable for the price. No problems with noise and there was a good view of Queenstown from the window. Unfortunately I couldn't get the free wi-fi in my room, but it was available in the lounge. Dinner was very good (try the steak!), but the included breakfast was very basic - eg no wholemeal bread or muesli. Overall a pleasant experience for the price.

Close to West Coast Wilderness Railway

Uncomfortable bed, expensive drinks and meals at tourist prices. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, lovely old building.
