Cheapest accommodation in town

Whilst not the cheapest place we’ve stayed at, this hotel remains the cheapest commercial accommodation in town. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable and a continental breakfast is included. The location is also super convenient if you are wanting to go on the West Coast Wilderness Railway as it is just across the road from the station.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I had to lift and push very hard to open my bedroom door. The door handle had come undone so I actually got locked IN my room at one stage and had to fix the door from the inside. Extremely disappointing

Brilliant place, not the most amazing rooms or facilities but the best vibe and great staff, real characters and willing to make your stay a great one. Highly recommended for the experience :)

1 night stay while travelling

Nice room, comfortable beds, good bathrooms, staff were friendly but always looked busy. Hotel is a bit outdated and in need of repair in some areas. Nice continental breakfast. Would have stayed here longer to explore more of queenstown if we had the time.

Old Hotel in Queenstown

Cons: Food service!
This is the only place in town to get food. We waited over an hour after ordering to get our food and when we said something the server berated us. All we were seeking was an apology for the long wait, be prepared!

Comfortable... don’t expect good food...

It’s comfortable and clean .. a bit old and rickety now.. food just passable but don’t expect much..Breakfast was terrible but that’s Queenstown!!! The Wilderness railway was fantastic so that made it up.

Centre of town, Hotel with history & character

Opposite Steam railway station, hotel full of history, they are modernizing but still keeping charm. It’s in the centre of town, Opposite the old Paragon theatre (which was playing “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” that night Upstairs hallway creeks at night, so if the noise from outside room could be insulated would improve experience Value for money experience. Dining room has old world charm , which they’re still working on Old world & value for money
