Clean comfortable country motel near Sheffield

Second time we stayed at this nice cosy country motel complex. It’s about 700m down the road from the centre of Sheffield. Easy walking. Booked almost a year in advance to have accommodations for the annual steam fest. As always the motel was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are on the larger side for a motel. Everything you need is there and works including an outside BBQ with table and shelter. The staff are excellent. Will stay again and can recommend.

Excellent hotel, excellent location

This hotel was one of the best places we stayed in Tasmania. Large rooms and living area. Very clean. Friendly staff. Only 30min from Devonport which makes getting the spirit of Tasmania in the morning sail easy

Great Spot

This was our last Tasmania accomodation booked at the end of the trip. Greeted by the gentleman at the front, straight away made to feel at home. Told us the good places to eat etc and only around 20min or so out of Devonport. Staff always spoke or waved when they saw you. When they services the room would leave the windows slightly open and air the room which was nice. Room was spacious with a cosy feel, fresh bathroom decor. Highly recommended

Beautiful country retreat

Beautiful little country retreat; yet still close enough to drive into Devonport. Informative man at check-in who knew his town and surrounds, offering information about Sheffield and the area. Good room amenities; ample for a few nights' stay. All in all very good, clean, and well-presented rooms and property. Well looked after grounds. Will definitely be back at some point! Only downfall: bed was quite firm.

Original Motel Charm

Pros: Charm and location
Location: Sheffield is a gorgeous little town. Lots of interesting shops. Have a lovely dinner at Mountain Mummas. Spent ages in the Marble and glass shop.
Your old fashioned style motel. Family run and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Nothing fancy but lots of charm and set in the scenic Kentish countryside. Could have easily stayed longer if time permitted. It is absolutely beautiful around there.
