    Perfect weekend break

Very friendly hosts and nothing was too much trouble, great quality breakfast with local produce! The lodge is in a nice quiet location and is a perfect get away would highly recommend! We would love to return for another stay and explore more in the local area

There is no place that I know of with a more scenic and tranquil view and setting on the Liddle Water. Set in Elliot territory on the edge of Armstrong lands in the ancient border lands of Liddesdale, this is an excellent location to start any journey through the area in discovering the area’s rich border reiver history. Jane and Michael and the most gracious hosts you will find. Morning coffee in the gazebo over the Liddle overlooking the pastures with the sound of the Black Byrn flowing below is an experience that you will find nowhere else and one I shall treasure in my fondest memories for many years to come. I write this in trepidation, for fear that I will one day have difficulty booking my next stay here, but owe Jane and Michael my appreciation and honest review of their beautiful lodge/home. Regardless, this is a hidden gem in the heart of Reiver country that would be enjoyed by cyclists, hikers fisherman and anyone interested in enjoying this beautiful and rich land. This is a perfect stay for families or even singles or couples looking for a quiet weekend get away. Thank you both once again for your hospitality!

Great B and B in the Scottish borders.

Great hosts welcomed us to their lovely home. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
