Perfect overnight stay!

Pros: Rooms were spacious & well equipped. Location is fabulous.
Location: Loads of restaurants, great footways & pedestrian facilaites to wander through the foreshore.
We had a very late check in (almost midnight) but staff were extremely helpful & courteous. Our room exceeded our epxpectaions in terms of size & facilities - would definitely recommend!

Handy to the City

Pros: Location and Breakfast
Cons: Bathroom was average at best.
Location: Close to everything in the cbd of Newcastle.
Stayed in the CBD after a ball. Location is good though the road works did make it hard to get to the hotel (not their fault). Great view of the harbour. Room was fine though the bathroom could be updated a little. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Happy we stayed.

Weekend away

Fabulous spot with great restaurants close by. The hotel itself is old. Our suite was tiny with only a shower bath. Fantastic potential of great views but all windows are tiny or partially blocked by the cramped furniture.

Pros: clean and quiet
Cons: remove spider web from outside windows
Location: easy to find restaurants and nice riverside walkway
wonderful Hotel and the best staff I have experienced for a long time

The hotel was excellent. It upgraded our accomodation due to a previous mishap even though it was outside their control. We would recommend this hotel to other people looking for a nice night away.

Fabulous location with spacious comfortable rooms

Pros: Space and comfortable rooms
Cons: The restaurant food, very average and the Tvs need to be adjusted so that not everyone looks super wide, they are not set correctly.
Location: Walking, cycling, kayaking on the harbour, restaurants along the foreshore, happy hour at the beautiful Queens Wharf Hotel where dolphins glide past
We always enjoy staying at the Crowne Plaza Newcastle. The rooms are spacious with a separate living area. Harbourside rooms look over a wonderful working harbour where tugs and ferries chug across the water. The pool area is sheltered and nice to relax in. The restaurant food is average but there are so many eateries along the waterfront that you don't need to eat in house. Try the gorgeous Cielo Italian or Scratchleys or enjoy a casual pizza at Silo. Walk to the beach or to the equally lovely Wickham marina zone. You are a comfortable drive to Port Stephens, or the Hunter valley or the beautiful waters of Lake Macquarie.

Reception Staff went out of their way to help when I arrived to find Wotif had not forwarded my booking to Hotel. Wotif had debited my account. Crowne Plaza found a room and upgraded me at no extra cost. The staff were so kind and professional.

Very accomodating to our needs

We have a toddler and asked for a few things like a microwave etc. And they were fast to respond and very friendly. Great stay!
