Beautiful part of the Lake District

Pros: Old building with character
Cons: Turn front lights off at 10pm
Location: Take in the area
Friendly staff and some good food apart from the Capsicum!

Nice hotel in a big old country manor

Pros: Everything, the staff were great, especially Tom who was so helpful and friendly despite being busy with reception and the bar.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Great location for visiting the lakes, hills and lovely villages of the Lake District and it's close to the coast as well.
We stayed only one night, but we were so impressed we wanted to stay longer, but a wedding party had fully booked the hotel. The room was huge and the bathroom was as big as some of the hotel rooms we have previously stayed in. Everything was spotlessly clean and good quality. The lounge bar and resturant were lovely as was the grounds. Food was delicious - a very very nice stay.
