A wonderfully located seaside holiday home with private garden and courtyard terrace overlooking the sand dunes at Merlimont beach.
The house is fully independent and has driveway parking. The accommodation is on two floors. The ground floor has a large open plan lounge / dining room which opens directly on to the garden and courtyard. There is a new fully fitted kitchen, shower room and separate WC. The first floor has three bedrooms, one double one twin and one bunk bedroom. There is a bathroom with a bath / shower and another separate WC.
The courtyard borders the sand dunes and has the most amazing views to enjoy whilst eating or relaxing outside. There is also a large lawn garden perfect for games and soaking up the sea air. There is a garage available for storage and private on site parking is available for two cars. The house is at the end of a quiet cul de sac and sits right next to the sand dunes. The vast sandy beach and the town centre are just a short walk away.

Very comfortable dog-friendly accommodation in a fabulously convenient location for the beach.
We came for a holiday in early Sept '22 with our dog. The property was perfect for us. Very well equipped kitchen, TV in spacious lounge/dining area with English channels, and really good Wi-fi. Large sunny garden with driveway for off street parking, and a private rear patio. Easy access to the beach being directly adjacent to the way-marked path through the sand dunes. Highly recommended.

Beach house perfection
A great stay in the perfectly quiet beach town of Merlimont plage.

House by the beach
The booking process was easy and checking into the house was hassle free.
The area is directly beside access to a nature walk in the dunes. The main beach of Merlimont was a 5-10 minute walk up the road (the beach is stunning, sandy and clean)
The town itself does not have much going on activity wise (you can hire bikes and there is mini golf) not many shops or restaurants in Merlimont but all the other towns around the area have quite a lot.
Bagatelle theme park is a 10 minute drive away and is excellent for children. Le Touquet is a great resort, parking can be tricky and it does get very busy. Etaples is a great fishing town which has some good activities for children and a huge market on Fridays.
The house was fine for us as a base to explore the area and we would stay there again if we visited this area of France again.
We stayed in the house with 2 young children and got on fine.

Lovely house on dunes
We stayed as a family of 6. 4 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 6. The house has everything you would expect if you were in your own home, including toys for the children.
The kitchen was very well appointed with loads of glasses, crockery and cooking pans. Easy to use and to keep clean.
The bedrooms were comfy as were the beds, with sufficient storage space. 2 bathrooms are ideal especially with small children.
The house is a 10 minute walk from a lovely sandy beach.
Shops in the town are great for local produce and there was a market one day.
Very close to Laby Parc which is a fantastic adventure playground.

A lovely and spacious property with great outdoor space.
We really enjoyed our stay at Tamaris. It's a really spacious place, with good sized bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. It has a large lawn area and a nice terrace, although the weather largely prohibited us for using it! The outside area is all closed off which is great if you have young children.
It's a short walk to the beach, ten minutes max i would say. The beach is very nice although also very tidal (compared to le touquet) so might be worth checking the times to avoid a big trek to the water and then a frantic dash back as the tide rushes in at certain points! Merlimont itself has a few shops and restaurants, although we came only at the start of the season and the weather was poor so much was closed. If you have young children be aware nothing opens until seven for dinner.
It's a short ten/fifteen drive to le touquet and we spent a fair bit of time here as they started digging up merlimont beach during our stay. Lovely sand, a picturesque drove, and some nice looking bars/restaurants. Much less tidal here.
The weather wasn't good for our stay so we explored some of the area with our children (4 and 2). Can recommend the Marais museum in Etaples (all
About fishing and has some great exhibits - 15 min drive), the aquarium in bologne (45 min drive) and also we went to a theme park in Denlys whose name currently escapes me but it was spacious and clean and had some great rides for smaller children (and a couple of lower league rollercoaster for big ones).
All in all, we had a great time and felt well looked after by Michael, perfect for a place to stop on our way home after Disneyland paris. The only Reason for four rather than five stars is that merlimont is looking a little tired and there was a fair bit of construction work going on which sometimes interrupts the ambience when you are in the town (although not at the house which is very very peaceful). This may be down to our visiting a bit out of season though. Thank you Tamaris!
