I found the exterior and reception really nice but there was a shabbiness to the bedroom and bar . Could do with a lick of paint especially skirting boards. My room was on the top floor , up a very narrow steep staircase which was difficult with bags to carry . There are no lifts.
The room was in a really poor state of repair, and stunk of stale cigarettes we were offered the room opposite but it had no heat and a portable electric panel heater to try and get it warm so we decided to stay put - but after some time realised the the heating was so noisy it kept us up, as it was a very late check in and we were really tired and needed to be up and away early in the morning. On the plus staff were friendly and breakfast was nice.
Not as expected. Would not recommend to others. Rooms were cold n floor was dirty. Opposite standing shower was toilet seat. Everytime you open the shower door would get stuck. Not enough room to manouver .
Staff were not very helpful. I can carry on but its not worth it.
