Loved the location. Hated the room layout. Appartment advertised for 7 adults but had tiny dining table with 3 chairs and one 2.5 seater sofa.

Hello Anonymous, We are so pleased you loved the location of the resort, it certainly is in a fabulous position. I am sorry you hated the apartment , I believe a villa would have been more suitable for 7 people. regards Vivienne

Great location

Pros: Location and accommodation
Cons: Maybe the grounds - but it did not impact on our stay.
Location: As per our Experience
We had a "family" (3 generations) stay for 3 nights; accommodation and facilities were all that we needed. The location was perfect with walking access beach, playground, shopping and restaurant's. Very central to the activities within the region. Bay Village was nice to come home to at the end of the day. A pleasant experience had by all.

Great location

Great spot right in centre of town, easy walk to cafe, restaurants and beach. Resort itself and room were nice, pool is small and hot with no fresh air as it is indoors. Would stay again.

Hi BR Sorry I missed this one earlier. Thanks for the great feedback. Re the pool, it must have been an exceedingly hot day as the concertina doors are wide open to the outdoor deck area and with overhead louvers and opening windows this is normally never an issue. Kind regards Management

Nice but noisy

Venetian blind over the bed couldnt be altered so I couldnt sleep as the moon streamed through the venetians onto my face, then the sun when it came up at 0500! There would have been over 100 cockatoos screeching in the adjacent tress till the sun went down, then they started up at about 5 am.

Dear Steph The blinds in the apartment you were staying in have been adjusted - thank you for pointing this out. Don't you love nature on occasions!!! Yes the cockatoos can sometimes be a distraction, however thankfully this isn't a regular occurrence. Kind regards Management

Overpriced hotel

Room was way over priced for what it was. Rooms not private at all.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, your feedback is important to us. Our prices are commensurate with other properties in Dunsborough, but as I do not know what type of room you occupied I am unable to comment further. I can assure you that all our rooms are "private" I am unsure of what you mean.

Good location but needs an upgrade

Pros: The location. It is close to cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, and the beach.
Cons: Outside lighting, bathroom floor and cleanliness of kitchen items.
Location: Central location, close to some great cafes and restaurants. Very close to the beach and a lovely walking trail.
The accommodation, in our case a chalet, was adequate in terms of space and amenities. Unfortunately, many things can be improved. The whole ‘village’ could do with an upgrade. The chalet itself lacks adequate outside lighting, which is a safety issue. Some items in the kitchen like mugs and cups were dirty to begin with and had to be thoroughly washed before use. The floor on one end of the shower cubicle is extremely slippery, which is another safety issue. Ours was a short stay, and that was long enough.

Hi Crisrobin Our location is second to none that's for sure. Despite your not so good comments, I think you'd find many of our units extremely comfortable and spotless! Clearly it seems there was a cleaning issue which should not have occurred but we also know from daily feedback this is unusual. Kind regards Management

Hotel in Centre of Town.

Pros: The room and location.
Cons: The internet. Did not work on the weekend.
Location: Dunsborough is in the heart of the beautiful south west. Close to beaches, winery, breweries and shopping.
The staff and hotel overall were excellent. My complaint was there was no reliable internet. We arrived Friday evening and I was able to use the internet. On Saturday and Sunday it was NOT available.

Hi Daniela Great to hear the staff and Bay Village Resort overall was excellent - we strive to achieve this, so a big thank you. I can offer no explanation to the internet issue as it was certainly working for us all weekend (we live on site) and there was no other adverse guest feedback and can only offer apologies Daniela. Kind regards Management

Good location in need of attention

Location was central to Dunsborough town centre and walking distance to the beach. The room sizes were good and the hot shower nice. However the general grime and lack of working appliances let the overall experience down. With the "owner offering for sale" sign in display it felt like things were getting fixed because of it. Better properties are available.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for the positives re our location, room size and beautiful hot water! A 'lack of working appliances is a little baffling - as reception staff are on the premises 24/7 and had there been an issue with an appliance, it could have been replaced immediately. We take very seriously any cleaning issues and are disturbed at your comments, though thankfully they are in a minority. We offer our apologies and once again, if there is an issue of any kind, if it is bought to our attention during your stay then it can be addressed. Kind regards Management

Overall very good.

Hotel was lovely, nice and relaxing. The only downside would have been the pillows but I just bought myself a new pillow @ Target and I was fine :)

Nice hotel, centre of town, close to the beach

Pros: Proximity to everything in Dunsborough. Clean and tidy. Quiet.
Location: Located in the centre of Dunsborough. Everything the Margaret River Region has to offer is very close by.
A lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. We didn't spend at a lot of time at the hotel, but the time that we did was pleasant and comfortable. Nice quirky little bar attached to the hotel. Also didn't get an opportunity to access the Spa but it looked professional and we wish we had stayed longer to get a massage or a facial.
