As was stated when you responded to my message. This is a farm stay. The cottage is located behind the main farm house. The gate was closed due to the fact this is a farm. My son came to show you to the cottage but you left.

The toilet was not broken, the supply tank was empty with 8 of you in the cottage. We are on tank water here at Collins Cap Cottage. As soon as you alerted me to the issue I fixed it by transferring water from another tank.Your issue was fixed within 5 minutes of you letting me know about it As for being unfriendly, my attempts to engage you in conversation were rebuffed so I left you alone.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Our web-site clearly tells you what is available in the cottage and given our continuous occupancy over the past 4 months I can assure you that our breakfast menu items haven't had the chance to get old and stale.

Lovely cottage on top of a mountain

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Collins Cap Cottage, and Beres and Adriana were truly delightful hosts. The surrounding area is beautiful, and the cottage itself is fantastic, with everything you might need for a little getaway. Hosts of many talents, Beres and Adriana make delicious blackcurrent cordial and jam, which we got to try during our stay. Thank you Beres and Adriana! We know where to stay whenever we visit Tasmania!

A unique experience

Pros: The remote location, waking up to the sound of birds in the trees, hosts who appreciated us and allowed us an insight into their fascinating hobbies a
Cons: The road into this location is not for the faint -hearted. It is quite remote and the back way in has some most fearful drops over the side.
Location: It is remote, set about half-way between Glenorchy and New Norfolk on the ridge that forms the back of Mount Wellington.
Collins Cap cottage is only for those few that want to get away from it all and enjoy peace and quiet, a remote and truly beautiful location and some of the most interesting and informed hosts that it is possible to meet. We were made welcome by hosts who were interesting and interested in us. The cottage was clean and well appointed.
