This place was warm and dry, if we was working on the bases of maslow hierarchy of needs, this meets all basic needs. If you are looking for a 5 star Michelin venue, this would not be for you. If your looking for one night stop over and looking to budget this is a great place. The manager has a warm welcoming presence, and willing to assist.

Ideal for a 1 night stay in the Kent countryside

I stayed at the Harrow Inn for 1 night on the way back to stay with my family for Xmas. The location was great, just a couple of miles off the main road in the Kent countryside, so nice and quiet. The check in was simple, receptionist friendly and welcoming and she explained everything in detail. The room would have scored higher if it had been modernised. The paintwork was fine (nice exposed brickwork, which i liked), but the curtains were coming off the rails and didn't shut properly. The bathroom needed a complete overhaul in my opinion. The cold tap dripped and i could not get it to stop dripping, the hot water was too hot so it was hard getting the right temperature. The bath and shower although clean, looked like they could have done with being replaced and the lino was a bit old and also needed replacing. Maybe it was just this room which was in need of updating. The bar was a typical English country pub, reasonable prices, nothing fancy, just good honest English fare. If you're only staying 1 night, it is fine, but the place (the frontage and the room I was in let it down) just needs redecorating and modernising.

It was somewhere to sleep - that was it

The Harrow Inn is in desperate need of updating. Checking in was fine but there is nobody available at all from thereon - Breakfast was served from early until 9am which was too early for us after a party the night before so can't comment on that - the Harrow is up for sale and it shows that the owners have no further interest in the property - it needs some serious updating although the 4 poster was comfortable to sleep in - the wifi worked well and the tv was a good size - the 'free amenities in the bathroom were from large pre-used bottles - one of which had a broken top - the flooring in the bathroom looks like it has been there since 1600 and frozen stiff!! A rentokil cockroach/bug trap prominently displayed in the corner of the room was a little disconcerting to say the least - won't be staying a second time because at £65 a night it would be cheaper to stay in Ashford at a better place and pay the taxi fare

Loved the place and the people, probably not everybody’s cup of tea, but loved it,
