Nice small hotel but location a bit far
The room was tiny. It’s ok by me but other guests may find it really small. The bed essentially took up the whole room it’s on raised beams. You push a button and the bed comes down. The bathroom was very clean. My only problem was trying to find the right balance of hot/cold water. The knob was not sensitive enough. Also the shower head was on the opposite side of the handles and faucet. So I had to literally climb my toes up the curve of the tub in order to get my head underneath the shower head. But these are insignificant to my overall stay (5 nights). My only real problem was the location of my room and the hotel. The room was on the 2nd floor facing the main street. During the weekend, Thursday, and Friday nights, it was pretty loud. The sirens from the ambulance, police, or fire seems like running on the hour. The staff was very helpful. The cook was really nice and friendly. I was downstairs right at seven in preparation for a tour. He got food and coffee ready for me. He was really cool. He came up to me the next couple of mornings to make sure the food was good and the coffee strong enough for me. I really don’t have an issue with the hotel. But next time, I will make more of an effort to try and stay near Covent Garden. Over there were so many restaurants and much better night life scene. This hotel is across from King’s Cross station and three stations from Covent Garden. Three stops is short but a different neighborhood altogether.
