The hotel was full of drunk people and we were kept up all night. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything next door

    No pool in January

This was a little treat for my daughter's birthday. Just a nice weekend away, we went to the zoo and then we checked into the hotel. When I was booking the room through Hotels.com, there was no mentioning that in January the swimming pool was closed. I have checked the chessington's website direct - again no mentioning about it. Apparently there is a pop up message when you book through their website direct, saying about the pool. Anyway we have booked through hotels.com, but I still think that any type of refurbishment should be mentioned on the chessington's hotel front webpage. I had two very disappointed children and the staff that could't care less. No discount was offered even when I've asked. The rest of the stay was fine, apart from a lot of wild kids with parents nowhere to be seen - running across the hall and slamming the doors (after 10pm). I have phoned up the reception and complained, the lady who dealt with me immediately came up and sorted the naughty youngsters out - so for that BIG thank you.

We had a family room just for the 2 of us so it was extremely spacious! Comfortable bed and nice and quiet. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Family layover before our flight from Heathrow

I was contacted by the hotel prior to my stay asking me to book a time slot for breakfast which I found odd as I’ve never been asked to do this before, turns out they don’t really need one it’s just to help them manage in busy periods. Anyway the hotel is huge and easy to get lost in we were up one lift walk over a bridge up another lift and down a corridor however the rooms are great, clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, my daughter lost her toy bear and they posted it back to us once it was handed in. Overall a very good stay.
