Wade into the waters on Kuta Beach to go for a swim or just take a scenic walk along the foreshore, past art markets and shopping malls. Take a surf lesson to find your feet in Bali’s sea. Behind the beach, the Kuta Sea Turtle Conservation Site is a hatchery dedicated to protecting sea turtles and getting their numbers up.

For some different watery fun, head to Waterbom Bali or Circus Waterpark, amusement parks filled with waterslides and gardens. Don’t miss the unique Bali Shell Museum, where you’ll find every size and shape of seashell you can imagine, and even some that have been turned into works of art.

Kuta is the number one spot for nightlife in Bali, and when the sun goes down you can take your pick from the clubs and discos. DJs, dance floors, karaoke and cocktails are regular features of the nightlife here. There’s also an Irish pub, a theatre with a magical stage show, and a rooftop lounge. The beachside spots like Legian beach Hotel are perfect if you wanna watch the sunset while you party.

Shopping and dining

Visit Kuta Art Market, close to Kuta Beach and bargain with the locals for art and souvenirs. Kuta also has enough shopping malls to satisfy your urge to splurge: Kuta Beachwalk, a multi-level shopping centre with a charming thatched roof and international brands galore, Discovery Shopping Mall, Kuta’s biggest shopping centre, and the Mal Bali Galeria complex.

Kuta’s restaurants offer stacks of diversity and if you’re lucky, go for one with a beachside view. Care for some authentic Indonesian food, pizza and pasta or spicy seafood? You’ll find it all in Kuta!

Getting here

Kuta is a five-minute drive away from Ngurah Rai International Airport, so book your flight to Bali with us and you’ll already be here.
