This was every traveler's absolute nightmare. Upon entering the property I was greeted by my feet sticking to the floors that were covered in spills and inches of build-up. I immediately went on high alert and began a thorough inspection process. First I noticed Mold around the majority of the window and door sills, as well as lining the baseboards and climbing the walls and interior trims. Next I was introduced to an abundance of exposed wiring. In locations were there should have obviously been a smoke detector, there were just wires hanging out of the ceiling. I should have paid attention to the red flag when the host messaged me prior to arrival and stated "the upstairs bathroom has tendency to lose power, but no worries, you can just go into the circuit breaker and reset it." As my journey continued next I encountered 2 exterior doors that did not lock or secure in any fashion. One was even a quarter of the way open when I found it. I wondered to myself why did I have to waste time fooling with a lockbox to get a key out, guess it was part of the full experience! I continued to move through the house next pulling back the curtain of the sliding patio door. In the interior door track there was about 5 inches of dirt and debris, but as I squatted down to inspect a bit closer, I realized this wasn't just any dirt, these were animal or rodent droppings. Apparently I wasn't the only species who had signed up to rent this property. Now feeling as if I were definitely not alone at this property, I ran a quick checklist before exiting. The list includes but is not limited to Pubic hairs in the shower, soda and coffee spills on the floors and furniture, Children's artwork done with crayon on multiple walls, a foul order that had been attempted to be masked with perfume, a ceiling fan that was falling down, and my personal favorite.....the handrail for the stairs that was so loose it practically came off in my hand on the very first use. The owner was also kind enough to keep their 2 personal vehicles parked in the properties 2 and a half car driveway. This makes it very convenient when you have to leave in a hurry considering half of your car is already in the road. I took 35 photos & 5 videos of this absolute death trap and reached out to the owner that the property is unsafe to occupy. The owner's response was "oh wow" and " I will issue a refund" which they later changed to " I will not be issuing a refund because the issues were minor"
