Will be good when new wing completed.

Pros: Staff friendliness and helpfulness.
Cons: Room needed big upgrade.
Location: Right near the promenade by the river. Great location.
Staff were great. Bed comfortable. Room and bathroom shabby. Mould on bath curtain. Soap dishes oxidised. Door in bathroom splitting from water at the bottom. Picture was missing from the wall showing the grubbiness of the wallpaper. The room needs modernising. We were on the 13th floor. I'm guessing that these rooms have been left as the new wing was expected to be finished earlier and now it's not until September. Location is terrific. Food was great. Staff were great. If our room had been normal standard for a hotel this size we would have rated it a 4.5.

Nice hotel in the 'Raffles' style

Pros: Everything
Cons: The electricity in the room went off a couple of times, but wasn't long before it went on again
Really felt at home here. Good position - views of the river. The pool is big and very nice. Didn't try the fitness room. Really good loctation next to a department store and over the road from a 7/11 and from the waterfront boulevard. Plenty of eating places nearby. Really helpful friendly staff. CNN which was great.
