Villa Nirvana is a real treasure, tucked away in a quiet area but still only 15 minutes walk to the centre of Ubud. I had an enormous private villa (Ananda), which had three different sitting areas, a separate dressing room, a bathroom partially open to the night sky, a fridge and tea-making facilities. The bed was enormous (and comfortable) but the highlight was the private infinity pool. In the photos it looked like a little lap pool, in reality it was at least 6m long, sparkling clean and surrounded by lush tropical plants. Why did I bother packing a swimsuit? I certainly didn't need it! Villa Nirvana also has a small, affordable spa and a lovely open restaurant that serves simple, tasty meals throughout the day and evening (also available in your room). If you have mobility issues, this may not be the place for you - it is located up LOTS stairs and there are also steps up to each villa and the restaurant. Staff will carry your bags, and are also super-friendly. I loved Villa Nirvana and will definitely be back.

Short One Night Stay
Location:Good central location. Short walk down a 100m lane way that takes you away from the main street.
Got hotel to drop us to WaterBom - took 1 minute.
Staff were very accomodating. We had an early flight the next day and they were still able to provide an early breakfast to our room.
Icy cold A/C in the two bedrooms. Kids had top room to them selves with single beds. Parents in middle floor room with King bed.
Stairs and lower floor living area have no A/C - but that's where the pool is and being ground floor it's cool enough.

a perfect stay
The most amazing villa with my own private pool. The room was impeccable. The staff were incredible - nothing was too much trouble. The complimentary breakfast was delish! The villa is situated on a quiet pathway amongst the rice fields - quiet and serene and only a 15 minute walk to the hustle of the Main Street. But there are amazing cafes 2 minutes in each direction so you don't need to venture far at all!

Lovely Villa with great staff
Spa was not great though, had 2 massages at more than double price in town & both were ordinary. Of most concern was the fact that I was naked on the table while workmen were walking back & fourth & had clear view into the spa, made me feel incredibly uncomfortable & I requested to be moved, but certainly not the right ambiance for a relaxing massage!

Fabulous retreat
Pros:Room, private use of pool, beauty spa and location.
Cons:Nothing
Location:It was close enough to the township of Ubud to walk although it did involve a number of stairs and requires a moderate level of fitness.
Had a great relax with my 2 adult daughters, facilities were great as were the staff and the location.

Something a little bit special....
Pros:Everything
Location:Off the beaten track yet only 15-20 walk to Central Ubud markets and Monkey Forest. Dining onsite are great, and plenty of other options close by
After 5 nights in Kuta, the 5 nights we spent at Villa Nirvana were just the break we needed. Staff so friendly, going the extra mile providing mobile phone to use during our stay to enable us to call if we needed picking up from the end of the track by the golf buggy(no cars able to go all way to Villas) or just general assistance finding our way back there. We found it a relatively easy and always interesting 15 minute walk using the short cut through to central Ubud...they provide a map to help you out! Food at the restuarant was great, we ate there 3 nights of the five as we enjoyed the food and tranquil location so much. Really helpful and will still assist in every way they can. Felt really luxurious and peaceful...very romantic

Seclusion Day typically falls in March or April (dates subject to change each year). Check-in and check-out will not be possible on that date. Ngurah Rai Airport (Bali International Airport) is also closed on Seclusion Day.
