I can't wait to return
I stayed at the Lavee Residence twice during my trek in Nepal. I was trekking the Annapurna circuit but relaxed both before and after at the Lavee, which was recommended to me by my Nepali friend and guide. This turned out to be an excellent place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone planning on staying in Kathmandu. The driveway to the residence is private and secure and the front reception was polite and ready with room arrangements. He ensured that I received one of the best rooms in the residence with a balcony. The room itself was spacious with a wonderful bathroom and plenty of hot water. The restaurant is top notch and I ate there for breakfast twice, lunch and a dinner and all the food was delicious, fresh and quick to serve. The trout for lunch was perfectly cooked. Sitting outside at night we could enjoy the fire with the movie playing in the background. The seats are wonderfully covered in fur skins and the bar is fully stocked. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else and look forward to my next visit.

Perfect Getaway for Downtime Pre- or Post-Trek
I stayed at this guesthouse for a couple nights after a trek. This place provided a perfect space to end my trip - away from the hustle and bustle of Thamel, yet close enough to Boudhanath Stupa to still experience Kathmandu. A quiet, hidden gem in Kathmandu that could be useful pre- or post-trek, or just to find a place to relax when touring the busy city streets. Good food, friendly staff, and spectacular rooms. It's also close to the airport, which was a bonus as I concluded my trip. I rarely if ever post reviews but this place is worth it.
