Minami is the downtown shopping hub of the city, and is also popular for its entertainment and nightlife options. Universal Citywalk Osaka Mall – just near Universal Studios – is another popular shopping spot, as is Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade, where you'll find most of Osaka's high-end boutique fashion stores. After all that shopping, you'll need a pit stop to refuel. Osaka is best known for takoyaki (battered and grilled octopus), teppanyaki (a sizzling hot plate of beef or seafood) and okonomiyaki (a savoury pancake dish). The Osaka Takoyaki Musuem, inside Universal Citywalk Osaka Mall, is where the city's most reputable vendors serve this popular local dish.
